Everyone can play but one can be recognized only by playing different music. People like the music that nobody else plays. DJ Asharfi works her music magic, remixed bolly beats and beating music, funky sounds.

"There's nothing like seeing people dance to your music," says DJ Ashrafi Oshidar. She does a good job of it as a disc jockey on the Mumbai club scene.

Here she is on life, career and music and her love for all three.

She started her career as a sound engineer at a studio. A friend of her suggested to be a part time DJ at Olive restaurant in suburban Mumbai. That was the beginning of a wonderful journey. After that, she started deejaying at several clubs in Mumbai and other major cities such as Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore.
