Farah Khan

Farah Khan danced her way from an award winning choreographer to a director becoming the first woman to be nominated for a Best Director Award.

Her work was showcased in international projects like Bombay Dreams and Vanity Fair. As one of the best choreographers in the industry, she worked with Shakira for the MTV Video Music Awards in 2006.

Farah has no formal dance training and she never had childhood plans to be a part of Bollywood. One day she was watching MTV and on came Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video, it was a revelation for Farah and changed her life. She learned MJs moves and started to dance at family functions and then competitions. From one dance competition she gathered contestants and started a dance company called, "The Sphinx". In 1992 she was asked by Mansoor Khan to be the choreographer of his next film "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar" starring Aamir Khan. Farah was on her way and from that point there was no looking back.

Though she is more well known as a choreographer and has been asked to choreograph a Chinese musical recently.
