Harshit Saxena is a shy and simple boy from Lucknow who always wanted to pursue his career in Physiotherapy. His mom is a very good singer and can play most of the musical instruments. He missed his Physiotherapy exams and came down to Mumbai for the competition. During his free time he learns and listens to music.

He was among the top 2 finalists on Star of Voice of India and was declared as the first runner-up on November 24, 2007.

His passion for singing began in his early school days when he was in 8th grade. He was, and still is a die-hard fan of Kishore Kumar. Most beginners choose to perform popular numbers however, he was busy grooming his voice so that he could at least match the melody and depth of kishore da. He used to record his songs from Kishore Da’s karaoke tracks at the tender age of 14. His mother and uncle (V.P. Srivastava) were his sources of inspiration. Seeing his passion for singing his father bought him a home theatre recording system and he use to practice for hours and hours. The credit of pushing Harshit goes to his school authority who sent his name to Lucknow Mahotsava,a famous mega cultural event in Lucknow. He lost two years in a row but didn’t lose hope.Keeping the fighting spirit, he later went on to win 1st prize and continued to do so for 4 years until he was no longer allowed to participate. Harshit started grooming his skill with Shri Gulshan Bharti ji his ‘Guru’.
He auditioned for many talent shows but luck was not with him. Then he got selected for VOI and he placed second after Ishmeet Singh Sodhi.after that in 2008, he participated in Jo Jeeta Wahi Superstar on Star Plus. Harshit became second runner up of Jo jeeta wohi superstar .
