Hemant Brijwasi is the winner of (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs 2009), a singing competition aired on Zee TV. The first runner-up was Yatarth Ratnum Rastogi followed by Shreyasi Bhattacharjee. Hemant got eliminated on July 18, 2009 due a rare ordinary performance, but bounced back in contention through the wild card entry on August 8, 2009. He earned special acclaim from Suresh Wadkar, the judge in the wild card round. And earned acclaim from some widely known genius, like Wadali brothers, Asha Bhosle,Khayyam, Anandji.

He can sing Hindustani Classical and Sufi songs beautifully.

Hemant impressed the jury members and the viewers through his electrifying performances, and got the highest votes.

Hemant got an awesome response of 15,35,380 votes followed by first runner-up Yatharth with 13,73,040 votes and Shreyasi with 11,38,380 votes.
