Inderjit Nikku
Renowned Punjabi singer Inderjit Nikku, who is all set to release his new album in the coming days, is determined to present it as a masterpiece of meaningful verses replete with poetical overtones and thoughtful expression.
Strongly opposed to “remixes”, he prefers natural talent carrying weighty ideas. Sharing his views on his upcoming cassette, the name of which has been still undecided , he says. “ The incorporation of a song written by my favourite singer Gurdas Mann will add flavour of its own to it”.
Inderjit Nikku seems to make no compromises when the question of providing quality songs and authentic picturisation is concerned. Negating the common version of the singers regarding their ignorance about objectionable videos, he says,” This is sheer duplicity. Why should the singers pose to be unaware of the video’s that mar their own image as a singer ?
From a minor T.V Star, Nikku rose to be a popular singer. Till none his 23 cassettes have been released in which 11 have been his individual contribution while 12 of them are in joint collaboration with other singers. Two of his cassettes “Nasebo Chete Kardi Aa” and “Panjeban Wali” are close to his heart.
His songs “Chinda Khatra Soniya,” “Jattan De Munde”, “Jan Jan Da Khatra,” “Sunn Ve Rabba” and others have won universal acclaim. Associated presently with Rupinder Singh Ruby, Nachattar Gill, Harbhajan Shera, Jaspinder Narula, Master Salim, Nikku is confident of his future endeavours.
