Hailing from a middle class family from Jamshedpur, Music has always been an integral part of Ishaan's life.

He’s really what you’d call a chilled out guy. Don’t get me wrong he’s ambitious, but really demonstrates a knack of taking apparent disappointment in his stride. “Honestly, for artistes like us, there was no loss, there was nothing at stake. What I gained was the Yash Chopra banner and the name that it has in the market. It does’nt really matter whether financially it was a success or failure”. The irony is that while the unanimous verdict was that the music to Mohabbatein was in no way compared to that of the spectacular Dilwale Dulhania, like the latter Mohabbatein’s music can be heard virtually everywhere – blaring from cars, restaurants, homes, televisions and the bearers and the real measure of the popularity – the autorickshaws. He laughs when I mention that. “It’s an amazing feeling. It just gives you so much confidence and encouragement”.At any rate, no time is wasted in the past. Ishaan is back now with Bhupen Hazarika’s soundtrack to Kalpana Lazmi’s ‘Daman’.

Ishaan has also done solo concerts all over the world including Usa, Uk,Canada, Middle East, Spain etc.

Currently ishaan is working as music directors for 3 big films to be releasing soon with established banners and directors.
