Mandira Bedi was born in a Punjabi-speaking Bombay-based Bedi family on April 15, 1972. she did her schooling in the Cathedral & John Connon High School.

Mandira Bedi is an Indian Bollywood actress, who shot to international fame first as television star in the soap Shanti and then as a television presenter during the 2003 Cricket World Cup and also in 2007 Cricket World Cup. Although she doesn’t quite contribute to the cricket talk shows in sense of knowledge, she does contribute to the X-factor leading to increased TRPs of the show. She recently posed for the magazine Maxim. She received national acclaim through her debut television serial Shanti (1995).

An Aries, she is passionate about live cricket and was thrilled when Sony Television offered her to compère 'Extra Innnings'.
