Born in a family steeped in Hindustani classical music, Milind has had the advantage of learning music at home from his father Pandit Madhav Ingle, a vocalist from the Gwalior gharana. Milind has been extremely fortunate to be a pupil of the celebrated Shri K. Mahavir and Shri Rajkumar Rizvi, who taught him the finer points of Ghazal singing. He also received training in classical music from Pandit Yashwantbua Joshi. Milind received due recognition for his talent and excellence in music, when he was adjudged the best singer at a ghazal contest organised at the national level, by Shaw Wallace Co.

An excellent composer of music himself, Milind is one of those few who has successfully used his classical background and training to sing and compose modern songs whose melody and youth appeal cuts across all ages. Milind's first Hindi album, Yeh Hai Prem, released in April 1998 and went on to become one of the highest selling indi-pop albums of the year.

Milind's second album, a Marathi album - Garvaa - again released under the Rajshri Music label, has been highly acclaimed in music circles especially in Maharashtra. Besides singing and composing the music for the album himself, Ingle has also tried his hand at writing lyrics. And given the fact that Milind is a composer himself, with a background in classical training, look forward to more good stuff from him in the years to come.
