Payal Rohatgi
A computer engineer by profession, Payal Rohatgi decided to try her hand in Bollywood after she was chosen in the last nine beauties in an Indian Beauty Pageant. She moved to Bombay thereafter, and since then there has been no looking back for this talented, attractive, young woman. She started her screen career by modeling for popular brands like Amul, Nirma, and Nescape, and was noticed immediately. Now she is spoken of as a Bollywood actress in the same caliber as Neha Dhupia, and Mallika Sherawat.
She has appeared in the famous show called "Big Boss" through where she gained her respect and love of general audiences...
Her journey to Bollywood began when she won the title of Miss Tourism World in 2002 in Medellin, South America against participants from 65 countries.
Payal first appeared in Bollywood performing in Harry Baweja's 2002 Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?, a Hindi remake of the Hollywood teen flick American Pie. She appeared in several small-budget films after that, but didn't strike it big until she made her A-grade acting debut in 2006 as one of the lead characters in the Bollywood film 36 China Town. Later that year, she appeared in the critically acclaimed Corporate where, ironically, she played the part of an item girl.
In 2007, she had her first release with Priyadarshan's film Dhol, produced by the Percept Picture Company.
In 2008, she was seen in a cameo opposite Ranvir Shorey in PNC film Ugly Aur Pagli. Payal performed a comedy skit as celebrity performer in Comedy circus - Chinchpokli to China on Sony TV.
Payal rohatgi has signed a lead role of a Tv journalist in a Bollywood film based on 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai. She has apparently closed a Hollywood project too.
