Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar is one of the most saught after sarod players of his generation. Tejendra Narayan was born into a musical family. His initial training came from his father, Prahlad Prasad Mishra a vocalist. Later he trained under Ustad Bahadur Khan for almost two decades. He is now a disciple of sarod maestro Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. Tejendra Narayan has successfully combined the techniques of Tantrakari style with that of Gayaki. He has performed in all the major festivals in India and abroad. He is a saught after concert musician and has become popular with music lovers in India. He has also worked with all the great Tabla players of our time.
