Ravi Tripathi, born 4th feb. In U.P. And currently living in Mumbai is a talented singer, best known for being placed amongst the TOP 7 Finalists at the popular INDIAN IDOL 2 Show of Sony TV.

Music is in his blood, his maternal grand father Pt. Rajpati Shastri was an accomplished singer. Ravi learnt his first lesson of music from his mother Smt. Sumitra Tripathi at the age of four. He participated at state level competitions where he won gold medals for 6 consecutive years.

When Ravi was preparing for his medical entrance exams in Lucknow he auditioned for All India Radio & got selected. At around the same time he started learning music at Bhatkhande Sangeet Academy Lucknow under Sri Dharmpal Barpaga and light music under Shri Vinod Chatterjee.
