Sandeep Acharya - Indian Idol Season 2 hails from Bikaner, Rajasthan and was crowned the winner of Indian Idol (season 2) on 22 April 2006. Acharya is the winner of the second season of Indian Idol Along with the title of Indian Idol, Acharya walked away with Rs.1 crore contract from Sony BMG, a music album contract and a brand new Maruti Baleno car. Sandeep also participated in a TV show on channel 9X - Jalwa Four 2 Ka 1 under the team of Mika.

A shy and introvert Sandeep never tell his parents about his hidden talent and passion for the singing until they came to know about his increasing popularity. His first performance in hometown Bikaner was followed by a series of invitations and soon after, he was the celebrity singer of the dune city.

The biggest achievement of his life – The title of Indian Idol did’nt even elude him slightest from his characterstic belief in harbouring values and respecting individuals . He keeps visiting the notion that “People are meant to be loved and things are meant to be used, don’t end up using people and loving things” and that’s his biggest personal attribute.
