Swarnima Gosai

This aspiring Indian classical vocalist is in the forefront in her vocation amongst the younger lot. Swarnima embarked on the journey of classical music at the tender age of nine initiated by Pandit Vasudev Deshpandey. She was further groomed by Vidushi Shubha Mudgal. Currently she is taking Gharanedar talim (school of learning) under the Guru-Shishya parampara (master-student tradition) in Classical music under the illustrious Sarangi Samrat Ustad Sabri Khan of Moradabad Gharana. Swarnima a regular performing artiste in prestigious music festivals in India and abroad and is well received by the music aficionados. Gifted with unique voice, Swarnima's repertoire includes the traditional khayal gayaki (style) of singing. Besides khayal, Swarnima is equally adept in Thumri, Chaiti, Dadra, Kajri, Bhajan & Sufiana Kalaam. Swarnima’s recording credentials include singing for Grammy nominated Anoushka Shankar’s album ‘RISE’.
